Our Story

In the beginning of summer, 2010, Mark and Sharon Stover were approached by the board of the Gold Canyon Business Association and asked to spearhead a project that would result in a business networking group.

Sharon had been marketing for Mark’s flooring business for nearly seven years and had been a member of several business networking groups so she agreed on a couple of conditions:

1.    This group would not be an off shoot of the GCBA but totally independent and allowed to function as such with its own bylaws, mission, purpose etc.

2.    That all businesses would be invited from both within and outside of Gold Canyon and it would be category exclusive, meaning only one business would be represented i.e. one person per category and one category per person.

The GCBA was very happy and would make sure to let all of their members know of this newly formed group with Sharon as the point of contact.

A board was put in place and they proceeded to develop bylaws, a specific mission, and purpose and a call for interested businesses went out with an introductory meeting held in mid August.  It was a first come first served agenda, meaning the first business per category to apply with a minimum application fee of $25; and have their business references checked would be considered a member.

At that introductory meeting there were 36 interested businesses with about 20 putting in applications.

Six years later Superstition Network and Referral Group (SNRG) has averaged approximately 23-26 members consistently.

SNRG prides itself on each member taking their role seriously and making sure they refer members they know and trust.

Each member abides by the very generous absentee policy and works to bring guests to introduce to this premier business networking group.

Sharon was pleased when she saw how the group began to “gel” so quickly and in such a short amount of time.  This strong bond has remained to the present day and no doubt with continue in the future.

The group continues with weekly meetings and continues to foster new referrals for our members.
